Southernmost Beach Resort and Mermaid Dorian proudly present New Moon Magic- the only experience in the Florida Keys where a real live mermaid surfaces from the sea. Is it a curse or a spell that keeps her hidden from the humans? Find out what she’s discovered on her adventures between the moons.

Surfacing for one hour only, she will bring you treasures from the ocean deep, and stories of her home at the coral reef. Experience her magic, discover her world, and maybe even make a wish on a starfish! Bring your cameras, you won’t want to miss this unique Key West experience!

Magic
Join Mermaid Dorian where the sand kisses the sea, each New Moon of every month through 2025. The magic begins at noon, when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun. Watch from the Pier at the end of Duval Street, or get sandy with us on South Beach, in front of Southernmost Beach Cafe.

New Moon Magic takes place on a public beach in front of The Southernmost Cafe, part of Southernmost Beach Resort property. This magical event is FREE and open to the public and to guests of the resort. You and your family can observe from the pier, rent beach loungers, or capture the surfacing from the shade of The Cafe.

Become the magic, and reserve a conch shell to blow to begin the show! Guests are welcome to bring their own (Conch shell horns can be purchased at gift shops around town), however, the resort supplies a number of shells for this event. TEXT 305-509-0601 to reserve your shells!

Plan a mermaid surprise for your loved one by texting 305-509-0601 to coordinate a personal surprise! Together we can coordinate a gift from the sea for that special person in your life.

Announcement will be made five minutes prior to the beginning of New Moon Magic. Amy will be present on site with conch shell horns for volunteers who want to participate in blowing them to call in the Mermaid. At 12:00pm, guests will line up on the beach to blow the conch shells, and Mermaid Dorian will appear somewhere in the sea. She will surface for one hour to tell stories, share shipwreck treasure, and entertain the guests who believe in her magic. After one hour, she will return to the sea or forever turn to seafoam!
