At jungle’s edge on the island of enchantment.
With El Yunque directly behind me, the golden sands of Luquillo on Puerto Rico’s North Coast were warm under my fins. A rolling fog meandered down the mountainside, rendering the dark canopy of the rainforest a deep, splendid, emerald green. My opportunities for beautiful photographs each visit to Puerto Rico were numerous, and any chance to take a roadtrip to the outer stretches of the island were made fastidiously- and with great invigoration. As onlookers took photos of myself taking photos, the scene quickly grew- with beachgoers whistling and children giggling, and cameraphones snapping a quick shot of the mermaid. It was all in good fun, and the experience was just as wonderful for them as it was for me.
