Hit the waves!

Get in seastar, we’re going to Fort Myers! I took over command of the only and only Key West Express, our hometown ferry service our of Key West Bight. Serving Key West to Marco Island, and Key West to Fort Myers Beach, the ferry provides an easy and accessible getaway off the rock. How fun is this shoot with my seastars Cayo Hueso Mermaid and Mermaid Merquila?! It was all glitter and giggles as the crew relaxed before their 5pm departure to Fort Myers.

Voyage the Seven Seas

Take a day trip to Key West from Marco Island or Fort Myers Beach, and see what life is like on this island in the sun! The ferry is perfect for sightseeing in Florida, and a relaxing lull across the ocean is made even more comforting with the food and drinks available en route.

Things to do in Key West

However long you’re visiting, there’s always something going on in Key West. From Lobsterfest to live music, Key West is a lively little island with plenty to explore in a short distance. Rent a golf cart, bike, or scooter to get around town but be sure to follow local safety rules and standard traffic procedures. Have fun and be safe! Visit my blog for my favorite things to do around town.

This is your captain singing

If it were up to me, we’d be singing The Little Mermaid soundtrack the full four hours to Fort Myers, but for my not-so-musically-inclined human friends, the ferry provides entertainment on board the ship. When I rode the Express to Fort Myers in May of 2022, I sat up top the entire trip, watching the ocean waves go by. Key West melted away on the horizon line as a new world approached in front of us. In my opinion, this was the best seat in the house. Visit my blog for Fort Myers shenanigans pre-hurricane.
